    Kacci te Kassapa khamanīyam,
“Well Kassapa, how is it with you? Are you enduring your suffering?
    Kacci yâpaniyam
    Are you bearing up?
Kacci dukkhâ vedanâ patikkamanti no, abhikkamanti
Do your painful feeling decrease or increase?
    Patikkamosânam paññâyati no, abhikkamo’ti
Are there signs of decreasing and not increasing?”
